Pinpointing our (letter-writing) goals

If we pause and look at our calendar for August it is already one-quarter over – tomorrow makes 21 more days in the month!  This is a pivotal month with “Back-to-school” – it is quickly approaching.

How are you doing with your letter writing goals (and I know for a few of you personally – you may be saying “what letter writing goals”?).

Today’s blog post is short and sweet – Your letters do make a difference!

Given my blog, AnchoredScraps.com is focused on “Balancing new technology communication with old-style corresponding” I want to encourage you to have a personal goal to write five snail-mail letters this month (from my August 01 post “Bee-cause it is August!“).

The boost you give to someone with them receiving an unexpected letter will be appreciated and in most cases treasured.

Wishing you a great week ahead!

“…And miles to go before I sleep.”

-Robert Frost, from “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”

And I would be remiss if I did not say an encouraging word for the following: for a friend who needs prayers for a safe journey hiking on the Appalachian Trail, for a friend whose sister has a surgery scheduled for tomorrow, for one with her father-in-law in hospice, and in general for friends who are holding “down the fort”  – hang in there!   To alter a quote from Robert Frost,  I am closing with “Letters to write before I sleep”!

Anchors Aweigh,

Helen
