Letters of Appreciation

Letters of Appreciation is today’s blog post topic!

To be on the receiving end of opening our mailbox and being greeted with real snail mail is an unexpected treat.   It is important to share and encourage our family and friends and letters of appreciation are a great surprise and treat to send.  Do not underestimate what a difference each of us can make by taking a few minutes from time to time.

In my April 20th blog on Letters of Encouragement, and October 26th  “When we don’t know the answer”- in them I have encouraged us to remember how much a simple short note we dash off and put into the mail to a friend is appreciated.

“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.”
– Voltaire

“Appreciate everything your associates do for the business. Nothing else can quite substitute for a few well-chosen, well-timed, sincere words of praise. They’re absolutely free and worth a fortune.”
– Sam Walton

One of the things from having written over 300 consecutive daily blog posts this year has been the realization that the 24 hours in each day do go by whether we have accomplished anything or not – and with that the importance of not just thinking about doing something but to actually take action.

Sending Letters of Appreciation can have a big impact – this sweet short video shares the impact of sending one – in this example to a former teacher.

Thank you for continuing to be on this blog post journey with me; I continue to sincerely appreciate the discoveries we have made along the way this year with blogging daily.
