2016 Annual Hand Turkey Competition

Calling all kids at heart – the 2016 Annual Hand Turkey Competition is open at By A Show Of Hands.   Yesterday’s blog post was on Writing Thankfulness Letters, I included talk of including hand-drawn turkeys in my letters this week.

Can you believe? There is an Annual Hand Turkey Competition!

In its 9th year, the competition is open to Kids, Grown-ups, Pros – for children of all ages – and their respective categories.

At the site past winners are shown from years 2008-2015!

The Process begins by downloading the hand turkey template, through uploading your image as a jpg, to then promoting it as part of the voting. Winners receive an official Hand Turkey Winner Certificate and prizes!   The deadline is November 23rd 25th and this is Link to Entry Form.  Please note, I have asked for confirmation of the deadline date given I also saw November 23rd mentioned.  I will be updating here once confirmation received.  <-Updated at lunch today, 11/14/2016 it is November 23rd.  Thanks to @rule29 for confirming via email. That site now reads:

“Please have your turkeys back to us by midnight, the day before Thanksgiving (November 23). May the best (hand) turkey win!”

Have fun being creative!  Whether you have a lot of practice or just a beginner with coloring your own Hand Turkey – here’s an opportunity to win bragging rights and a gift card too from Rule29, hosts of the Annual Hand Turkey Competition. Enjoy!
