Part 2 Consider Recycling Greeting Cards

Today’s blog post is Part 2 Consider Recycling Greeting Cards as we look at suggestions from Recycle Nation.

There is a helpful article over at Recycle Nation from December two years ago on How to recycle greeting cards.  It describes different greeting cards materials and what most recycling centers will and will not accept.

In addition to actually putting your cards into the recycle container, there are ideas for how to re-use at your home, specifically for your Christmas greeting cards.

Included in the article is their suggestion of donating your old greeting cards to charity.   It is nice seeing them also listing the Recycled Card Program St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Nevada – which we covered yesterday. And St. Jude’s will even take your new greeting cards too, not just used cards.

As we look at taking down the Christmas tree and getting ready for the New Year ahead here’s to knowing about some recycling options.

Join me tomorrow for my monthly recap blog post for December.  It will also be the final blog post for the year, at number #675 daily blog posts since launching!  In the meantime here’s to rounding up the recent greeting cards and looking at recycling considerations for some of them.

Anchors Aweigh,

Helen
