If you are new to reading my daily blog encouraging letter writing, you may not know in my very first blog post here, “There’s Been Talk!” (2-26-2015), I reference the inspiration of Seth Godin with beginning my AnchoredScraps blog.

“During the course of thinking about having a blog I have continued to read Seth Godin and found his latest book a true call to action to not let the “lizard brain” get the best of you but to take your turn.  The book is called What To Do When It’s Your Turn (and it’s always your turn) by Seth Godin.”

In 2017 it was an honor to be included in the listing of “Thanks to the Tribe” for supporting his 800-page oversized book: Seth Godin Titan Collectible “What Does It Sound Like When You Change Your Mind?”  (3-08-2017).

Fast forward to just two weeks ago, and in his October 31st post he wrote “The first 1,000 are the most difficult“; he refers to the benefits of writing a daily blog and I was smiling reading it, as I’m approaching daily blog post #1,400 in December 2018! (Today is daily blog post #1,357)

“For years, I’ve been explaining to people that daily blogging is an extraordinarily useful habit. Even if no one reads your blog, the act of writing it is clarifying, motivating and (eventually) fun.” 

Not to give away Christmas presents I’m planning, let’s just say I’ve already ordered the Limited Edition Collector’s Set. Last week I ordered an individual copy of the book under pre-ordering which is now shipping.  I’m looking forward to reading the book upon its arrival.
