Happy Easter 2017 – The Women of Easter book by Liz Curtis Higgs

Our Easter Sunday 2017 blog post this morning is about the newly released January 2017 The Women of Easter book by Liz Curtis Higgs. My copy of the book I have ordered and am anticipating its arrival this next week. It is available in ebook format so if you would rather get started with the book today online to read that is an option.

These are the links to my previous Easter posts – from 2 years ago Happy Easter 2015, and from last year Happy Easter 2016. National Letter Writing Month continues for April and resuming tomorrow my daily blog posts encouraging letter writing topics will include stationery, fountain pens, postage stamps, and typewriters this next week.

The book is entitled The Women of EasterEncounter the Savior with Mary of Bethany, Mary of Nazareth, and Mary Magdalene. Liz Curtis Higgs, a seasoned Bible teacher and award-winning novelist, combines her storytelling skills with a thorough verse-by-verse study of Scripture as together you explore the remarkable lives of The Women of Easter.”

“You’re about to meet three women named Mary, each of whom has a life-changing encounter with Jesus. Mary of Bethany prepares the way for the Lord’s burial when she anoints His feet and fills the air with her perfume. His mother, Mary of Nazareth, remains by His side from His first breath to His last, her loyalty unwavering. Mary Magdalene, delivered of seven demons, bravely supports her Teacher through His darkest hours, then proclaims the glorious news of His resurrection.”

The Author, Liz Curtis Higgs, has written over 30 books.  Having loved her 1995 book Only Angels Can Wing It The Rest of Us Have to Practice I already know I will enjoy reading this new book of hers. What I remember most about that book is how funny she was sharing the attributes of the Proverbs woman along with her humor.  She has a new book coming out in October, 31 Proverbs to Light Your Path
