On Tuesday the Smithsonian National Postal Museum was kicking off their Postmen of the Skies Exhibit. Today we are looking at that exhibit ‘celebrating 100 years of airmail service”. I’m also including a reminder for the USS NC 10th-Anniversary Cancel today at the downtown Post Office in Wilmington.

Last week, one of my daily blog posts had us looking at the upcoming Air Mail Blue Forever stamp with a May 01 Issue Date.
Fast forward, and on May 01, the Postmen Of The Skies exhibit was opening too – there is a lot to celebrate!
It is a temporary exhibit running May 1, 2018—May 27, 2019.
Furthermore, the Postal Museum has The Smithsonian Center for Learning and Digital Access for exploring.
As we are wrapping up, this is a reminder at the downtown Wilmington Post Office today our local Wilmington Philatelic Society is sponsoring the USS NC 10th Anniversary Cancel.
I’m looking forward to getting several of these special pictorial postmarks!
