USPS Holiday Deadlines Approaching Includes First Class Mail Dec 20

The USPS Holiday Deadlines Approaching Includes First Class Mail Dec 20 – this Friday!

Over at the USPS website, their Holiday Shipping Dates page shows the recommended send-by dates for December 25th. Today is a follow-up and reminder from my previous December 2nd blog post.USPS Holiday Deadlines Approaching

First, of all, the BIGGIE is December 20 for First-Class Mail in the Contiguous U.S. excluding Alaska & Hawaii. In case you are curious – Alaska is December 18th and Hawaii December 19th for First Class Mail.

“If you’re shipping holiday cards and gifts, for Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, or other holiday traditions, find the USPS® recommended domestic, international, and military deadlines in these tables…”

Furthermore, to view the entire listing of the USPS Holiday Deadlines Approaching click here.

Note to self – there is a small banner alert in red stating can search for a specific location to see details on extended holiday hours and pickup times; however, with trying out various search options I was not able to find any locally with extended hours.

Before closing, I’m including in case of any “good to know” for any procrastinating – the USPS site is showing “Regular Mail Delivery – Mail will be delivered as usual Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24.”  It goes on to show for Christmas Day itself, Priority Mail Express mail delivering on Christmas Day.

Earlier today, while at the local UPS store, the line of people waiting for shipping out their packages must have been 20 people in line deep!

Here’s to getting our Christmas cards out the door this week!
