Enjoy the Great Outdoors Stamps arrive June 13th

The Enjoy Great Outdoors Stamps arrive in a little over three weeks; in a self-adhesive pane of 20 stamps. Its First Day of issue day is June 13, 2020, in Incline Village, NV for the Forever First-Class stamps.

In the most recent Postal Bulletin the Stamp Announcement 20-17 shares about the five stamp designs in the Enjoy the Great Outdoors Stamps.

Enjoy Great Outdoors Stamps USPS“With the release of the Enjoy the Great Outdoors Forever® stamps, the Postal Service™ celebrates the many ways individuals experience America’s abundance of natural beauty. These hand-sketched and painted designs depict five different scenes showing outdoor activities:

Building a sandcastle,

Canoeing,

Hiking,

Biking, and

Cross-country skiing.”

Furthermore, it is great reading the process for requesting by mail first-day-of-issue (FDOI) postmark

Before sharing the excerpt, I’m mentioning reading it finds me thinking I’m going to have to check with my stamp club buddies – I was thinking the usual timeline is 30 days for requesting – loving seeing it is 120 days for the Enjoy the Great Outdoors stamps.

Customers have 120 days to obtain the first-day-of-issue postmark by mail. They may purchase new stamps at their local Post Office™ or at The Postal Store® website at usps.com/shop. They must affix the stamps to envelopes of their choice, address the envelopes (to themselves or others), and place them in a larger envelope addressed to:

FDOI – Enjoy the Great Outdoors Stamps
USPS Stamp Fulfillment Services
8300 NE Underground Drive, Suite 300
Kansas City, MO 64144-9900

After applying the first-day-of-issue postmark, the Postal Service will return the envelopes through the mail. There is no charge for the postmark up to a quantity of 50. There is a 5-cent charge for each additional postmark over 50. All orders must be postmarked by October 13, 2020.

At the USPS Postal Store, one can go ahead and pre-order, SKU 572804 for $11.00 each.
