Welcome to the new week! Today’s blogpost is to remind and motivate us as we close out the month and begin mapping out the second half of 2015.
There are eight more days until the end of June, eight more days until the end of second quarter, and eight more days until the end of First Half 2015. A week from Tuesday is the last day of June. How are you doing on your goal-setting plans for the year? I’ve got more work to do and more letters to write before saying good-bye to June!
“Lost time is never found again.” – Benjamin Franklin
Today’s photo shown attribution: 1/2-cent Franklin stamp from the Smithsonian National Postal Museum (on Twitter @PostalMuseum). This half-cent postage stamp was issued by the United States Post Office on October 20, 1955. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) is showcased on the half-cent Liberty stamp. He was the first American-born postmaster general of the American colonies.
July 1st will mark the halfway day for 2015 – being the 182nd day of the year).
As far as personal letter writing goals, how are you doing in achieving the goal to write seven letters in June? In my June 1st blog, “Stamp Day for Superman” (1954) – it included Super Personal Letter Writing Goal for June: Super Seven! “For the month of June please consider joining me with a personal goal of hand writing seven letters this month! The time will pass anyway. Post cards count too. If you want to send me a email or use the Contact form to sign-up and share with me this is your goal – and at the end of the month once completed, just let me know and instead of a ‘Gold Star’ I will snail mail you as my recognition gift to you a Anchored Actions to-do pad ! (Offer good for the first 25 who sign-up!)” It is not too late to achieve this goal!
7 Habits worth adopting for Second Half of 2015
In looking at my Seven Habits Organizer it is from the class I attended almost twenty years ago! I still love and use my Covey Planner Guide and their Weekly Compass. This is a link to the Stephen Covey site and it shows a link to each of the seven habits to help give you some information if you are not already familiar with it, or if you are and need a refresher. Also, wiki has a nice summary too on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
1 – Be Proactive; 2 – Begin with the End in Mind; 3 – Put First Things First; 4 – Think Win-Win; 5 – Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood; 6 – Synergize; 7 – Sharpen the Saw
There is still time in the coming days to finish this month strong with realizing our goals and objectives. Wishing you a great week (make that 8 days) ahead!
