“The Baker Street Letters”

Reading some of the books from “The Baker Street Letters” mystery series this weekend has been perfect timing with the colder weather and return of the rain.

“The Baker Street Letters”

Back on October 29, 2015 my blog post The address is “Elementary, my dear Watson” was about how mail written to the famous address of 221B Baker Street would get routed and letters answered over the years.

It has been fun to since discover and begin reading from “The Baker Street Letters” by Michael Robertson, “a contemporary mystery series focusing on the difficulties a London barrister encounters when he takes a lease on 221B Baker Street and must respond to letters addressed to Sherlock Holmes.”

CoverMoriarityReturnsALetterThe books I ordered began arriving on Thursday and I have been reading them in the sequence they arrived.   Moriarty Returns a Letter (Volume 4) arrived first and it was able to stand on its own to read which was very helpful given I had not read Volumes 1-3 yet.  The plot was quite good!

Of course upon finishing the book I wanted to find out when/if there was a ‘next’ in the series and how wonderful to see there is a planned Volume 5 The Baker Street Jurors for release July 19, 2016 and it can be pre-ordered!

CoverTheBakerStreetJurorsOn Saturday morning The Baker Street Translation (Volume 3) arrived and I have been enjoying reading it and again, it is fine that I’m reading them out of sequence.

Obviously I expect Volume 1 & 2 to arrive in a few days and will enjoy continuing to read these gems!

CoverTheBakerStreetTranslationThis is the list of the books in the series:     The Baker Street Jurors: A Baker Street Mystery (Volume 5) – to be released July 19, 2016;   Moriarty Returns a Letter (Volume 4);   The Baker Street Translation (Volume 3);   CoverTheBrothersOfBakerStreetThe Brothers of Baker Street: A Mystery (Volume 2);  and   The Baker Street Letters (Volume 1).

It has definitely been a great way to enjoy part of the weekend getting to read one and a half of these delightful books already!

Join me tomorrow as we kick off a new week here at AnchoredScraps.com!
