Even though today is day one of ten days of the date being a Palindrome, we are looking at the Crane Downton Abbey Stationery Collection. It includes a Downton Abbey What is a Weekend Greeting Card.
First, my special thanks to local stamp club buddy Jimmy, for sharing with me, I’m paraphrasing this email excerpt: “The next ten days 9-10-19 through 9-19-19 are all palindromes.” For now, our focus is on the Crane Downton Abbey Stationery Collection.
Crane Downton Abbey Stationery Collection
Last week, on Thursday, to be exact, there were two emails from Crane about their Crane Downton Abbey Stationery Collection. The timing was for this to come in while dealing with the winds and rain with Hurricane Dorian. I made a note to myself that this week I would circle back and share about the collection.
There are 25 items in the line-up in all I’m seeing.
There are several note cards for a Crown, Dog, Kettle, Thank You. Cards include a Crown, Bell, Gramophone; Notebooks include for House, Kitchen, Dressing Room. There are Notepad Lists for Market, Chores; and a Fill-in Invitation. Greeting Cards include Chance to Dream, Sympathy Quote, Tired of Style, Drinks before Dinner, What is a Weekend, Stealing Affection, and Golly Gumdrops.
As far as Pre-ordering, there are three Notepads: Flourish, Kettle, and Vanity & Crown; and there are two calendars – one Easel, and other is Sprial.
Have fun exploring the Crane Downton Abbey Stationery Collection.
Before Closing, over three years ago we were celebrating Downtown Abbey inspired stationery in my post on Edwardian themed stationery 3-06-2016. This is a partial excerpt I’m including: “As the final episode of the most popular British drama unfolds on Sunday, we invite you to continue the Edwardian tradition of letter writing.” Given the timing for tonight’s concluding episode of six seasons of Downton Abbey, the selection of Edwardian themed stationery from Expressionery.com is perfect for today’s Sunday blog post. “
And on a personal note, it was a joy presenting at the Wilmington Philatelic Society September 2019 Meeting earlier this evening. Of course, it will be a future blog post with details!
Anchors Aweigh,
Helen
