Handdrawn flower doodles

Today we are looking at some options for freshening up our stack of existing stationery as we continue with our theme this week of Writing Outside the Box.

Today we consider Handdrawn flower doodles!

Here are some quick options to help freshen up your existing box of stationery:

  • Mix it up a little and not match – do a little mixing with the note paper and envelope.
  • Consider re-cycling the front from a card you received and use part of it on the front of your letter, would need some kind of adhesive to affix it
  • Use your sharpie pens to create a little design – in my example handdrawn flower doodles – onto your envelope and paper to tie them together as a set (below)

In the examples I’ve got the ‘before’ and the ‘after’ shown.  I was able to tie the envelope and the note paper together with the same design.

I’m not using any scrapbook punches, special scissors, or any adhesive in this example, just markers.

Seeing how simple my design is should be inspiring you to say to yourself, “I can do that !”

You could just as easily do this same example to a three-ring sheet of notebook paper and basic envelope from the dollar store to which then handdrawn flower doodle is added to both.P1010335

Thank you for trying on your creative hat with me today and be sure to try out your own designs.       And I didn’t even do a tie into being a Yankee Doodle in today’s blog – I’m saving that for a future patriotic themed blog post!
