Earlier in the week I wrote a blog post about the merits of doing some advance planning “Gonna Fly through Fall (Sept. thru Dec. planning)”.
Today I am announcing the AnchoredScraps.com Friday Letter Writing Club!
You know how every year you say to yourself when sending out the Christmas cards (or thought about sending out Christmas card), you wanted to include a nice personalized note with each card – at least to your favorites?

The AnchoredScraps.com Friday Letter Writing Club will help achieve that goal! My idea is this: between now and sending out your Christmas cards – each Friday – choose ONE person to write that timeless note to include with your Christmas card. If we write one each week then by the week before Thanksgiving it will result in 12 hand written notes. You can write as much or as little as you want. The point is to be relaxed and to have enjoyed making the time for your note. How does that sound to you having 12 hand written notes by you to include in 12 of your Christmas cards?! The AnchoredScraps.com Friday Letter Writing Club supports the focus of this blog: “Balancing new technology communication with old-style corresponding”. In previous blog posts we have strived to have a goal to write five hand written letters a month – this will help us achieve that goal!

In looking ahead, I can envision someone even printing off today’s blog post and including it – and even jotting their note onto the bottom of this page – for their note/letter.
It is fine to choose to write about something entirely different than this focus area. In time I will add a page onto this site for it and add a related icon.
We can have some fun with this – add your participation it to with your signature on your email “Honoray Member of the AnchoredScraps.com Friday Letter Writing Club” – or even “Charter Member of the AnchoredScraps.com Friday Letter Writing Club”.
So for the next three months the focus will be for preparing to include with our Christmas cards, and as each Season progresses the focus will be updated for areas to write each Friday.
