Getting that handwritten letter look (TrueType font)

Back on March 19, in one of my earlier blog posts here entitled: “What’s Your Type?” – it was about TrueType fonts and why we love them.  It concluded with encouraging us to be on the lookout for expanding our collection of fonts.

Today’s blog post is short and sweet showcasing the ‘School Script Dashed’ True Type font at dafont.com providing that handwritten letter look.  It is especially helpful if you find yourself in a bit of a time rush but still wanting to show you went to some effort with your snail mail!

The font is in the  spirit of back-to-school making it fun to use and gives us a change from the normal fonts we typically use.

Please note that I did find the font at other locations including: Fonts2U.com (On Twitter @fonts2u).

SchoolScriptDashedFontExample01Using TrueType fonts provides a digital approach, and with this one it will not cost you anything.

In this example, I had downloaded the font, installed, and then selected the font within MS Word and was on my way. Attribution: Images shown upper left and on right are from using the School Script Dashed font at www.dafont.com.  (On Twitter @dafont_com).  Thank you!

And here is how the page looks where the font is located.
