Happy Friday as we get this update in the form of a letter today on Cooper Puppy Kindergarten Mailbox Letter.
Dear AnchoredScraps Blog reader –
Thank you for the nice emails I’ve gotten asking about our puppy. Our brittany spaniel puppy Cooper is now 9 weeks old and we are already settling into a routine.
First of all, Cooper is full of energy and has the sweetest spirit!
The first day of Puppy Kindergarten class was fun – we went last weekend! It is a fun class and encourages the puppies meeting each other. The class age is 8-18 weeks old giving an opportunity to socialize them properly, with it being my understanding the end of the critical socialization period at 12-14 weeks of age.
The class did introduce us to clicker training. The next class is in a month given the upcoming 4th of July Holiday.
We continue to be in the process of house training. Resource materials on house training from Puppy Kindergarten include this House Training Your Puppy Guide.
Our crate training is going smoothly.
I know in the near future it will include taking Cooper for walks to the mailbox to get our mail.
These two quotes I am sharing today.
“Happiness is a warm puppy.” – Charles M. Schulz
“If you think dogs can’t count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then give him only two of them.” – Phil Pastoret
Thank you for continuing to be on this daily blog journey with me. It has been fun to share the latest on our puppy Cooper. We are off to go play on this early Friday morning as it is a fun way to start the day!

Helen
