neither rain nor sleet nor spiders

On this Friday morning you too will be thinking neither rain nor sleet nor spiders when seeing this adorable short letter written to the Royal Mail asking for their Postman to handle disposing of a spider, “seemingly holding my mail hostage.”

“Dear Mr. Postman!

Beholder of parcels, bringer of utility bills. I write to you on this day to ask a simple task of you.  Living on the right side of my mailbox is a spider, seemingly holding my mail hostage.  If you could remove him for me, either by relocation or brutal murder, I would be forever in your debt.
Spider looks like this   –.– <– (There is a hand drawing of four lines on left side of center dot, and four lines on rights side of center dot.

As we head into the weekend with the full hot summer weather here’s to remembering to check around the mailbox while we are at it too!
