Today, September 28, 2017, is truly JUST A CARD Day 2017. The best way I read what it is all about is this following quote from their JustACard.org website.
“If everyone who’d complimented our beautiful gallery had bought ‘just a card’ we’d still be open”
Even though this is going on “across the pond” in the UK it is something we do here too with the Shop Local emphasis on supporting local artists and businesses, especially Thanksgiving weekend. The joy of letter writing with unique stationery is so much fun to discover and use!
This tweet earlier today is very exciting to see the #Christmas cards offering part of #justacard.
And from the Ginger Twenty Two recent post: “Just A Card remembers, loves and values with cards and art, textiles, jewellery, stationery, knitwear, crafts, makes, designs and just about anything you can think of. Just A Card remembers the independent shops, the local traders, the online self-employed, the diverse, creative community in the UK and it encourages us all to do the same.”
I’m envisioning Just A Card Day becoming an annual event day so I’m including 2017 with today’s title. It is really fun looking at all of the links on their website and seeing so many creative items by talented artists available. It’s going to be fun figuring out what to order for mailing back overseas to here in North Carolina, perhaps you will too!
