Yesterday in Colorado Springs, Colorado the USPS O Beautiful Forever Stamp had its First-day-of-issue; along with the stamps going on sale nationwide same day, July 4th, 2018.

O Beautiful Forever Stamp 2018 Went on Sale July 4th Nationwide

The O Beautiful Forever Stamp comes in a commemorate pane of 20 Forever First-Class stamps – at 50 cents each, it sells for ten dollars. They are in stock on line at the USPS website.

“With the release of the O Beautiful stamps, the U.S. Postal Service commemorates the beauty and majesty of the United States through images that correspond with one of the nation’s most beloved songs, “America the Beautiful.” Each of the 20 stamps on the pane features a photograph that helps illustrate one of five phrases from the song’s famous first verse: “Spacious Skies” (top row), “Waves of Grain” (second row), “Mountain Majesties” (third row), “The Fruited Plain” (fourth row), and “Sea to Shining Sea” (bottom row)…”

“Customers have 120 days to obtain the first-day-of-issue postmark by mail.”

I’m happy to see there is such a large window of time for ordering the first-day-of-issue postmark. If you haven’t sent off for one before, this would be a great one to request. If you have children or grandchildren who are visiting and are “bored” this would be a fun activity to do together – Enjoy!
