Merry Christmas 2018!
The photo I’m sharing is the Volume 5 cover for expanding our Christmas scrapbook albums this year.
It continues the family tradition I began in 1997. Volume 1 began with Christmas 1995 and 1996, presenting it at Christmas 1997.
Through the years we have filled four volumes of our 12 x 12 Christmas scrapbooks with our family Christmas Eve celebrations. There are TWO sets of them! It also includes a Christmas Newsletter written for the scrapbooks each year which we sign.
The albums began all analog traditional style of scrapbooking; later albums are hybrid meaning the newer albums also have pages I have designed digital. They are then printed and the 12 x 12 pages inserted into them.
This year we gift wrapped the bew album with the 2018 Christmas newsletter and completed Volume 4, with the pages from last year’s Christmas.
It is the collection of 22 years of Christmas newsletters that are the most cherished to me when going back through them.
Some years they are more chatty. It is amazing the amount of details I will have forgotten until reading them again.

On this day with poignant memories which include remembering family no longer with us and the impact of Alzheimers, we have the next generation. We are now beginning the cycle anew with the opening of Christmas presents excitement with our two year old Great-Niece. Those albums back beginning with 1995, were filled with 3 to 5 year olds then!
