We are starting off the week Pawsing for jotting down important numbers. Let’s start with one word, actually a name: Cooper. Suffice it to say, all of a sudden he is missing a front tooth! If you are new to reading my daily blog, Cooper is our four years old Brittany Spaniel. He has two speeds full blast and stop!
Pawsing for jotting down important numbers
To net out the message for the reason for today’s blog post title – it is a reminder to have THAT list put together of emergency contacts – you know, that list of numbers we like to think we never want to have to call.
In our case, I was momentarily looking for our Veterinarian’s after-hours contact they refer for Animal Emergency Veterinary care. After talking with the technician on duty, we are waiting until the morning to get him to our regular veterinarian. We JUST had his annual wellness visit last week with a great report!
And while I’m at it, thank you to a dear friend on the phone just now. She has brought up adding to the list knowing about the Animal Poison Control Center number for their service. I’m definitely going to be exploring more about the service and how it all works – prior to any emergency! While I have not had to use that number, having it now in my contact list is good knowing its there. Furthermore, my thanks to another friend who was sharing stories of some of her dogs’ previous escapades!
As we wrap up, with earlier this evening finding me with a quick sense of panic in discovering he is missing a front lower tooth – I’m seeing how much time it saves to have on hand important numbers for quick reference. I’m hoping perhaps you will join me in rounding up those numbers and putting in a go-to place to have available just in case!
Anchors Aweigh,
Helen
P.S. To see a recent photo of Cooper, Happy You Are Here! snail mail sign up, from August 7, 2020.
P.P.S. Cooper just popped in looking for a SOCK to grab – he can’t be feeling too bad!! This reminds me of a blog I wrote about him when still a puppy, with Saturday Socks Thief Cooper Letters, November 5, 2016. I recall writing it early in the morning as I was then presenting at my first WordCamp Wilmington!
