With Thanksgiving 2020 this coming Thursday, we are looking at the new USPS Mayflower in Plymouth Harbor Forever Stamp. It celebrates the 400th Anniversary “of the arrival of 102 English passengers off the coast of today’s Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1620. The passengers on the Mayflower would become known to us as Pilgrims, …”
In addition, I’m sharing about receiving my FutureMe Reminder to myself for this Thanksgiving Week Ahead.
Mayflower in Plymouth Harbor Stamp celebrates 400th Anniversary
The new Forever stamp debuted on September 17, 2020. The stamp is sold on a sheet of 20 First-Class Mail one-ounce stamps for $11.00. If you are not able to find it at your Post Office, it is available online at the USPS Postal Store SKU #476704. In reading about the stamp, it includes: “The Mayflower Compact, Plymouth Rock, Thanksgiving – all became part of the enduring legacy of this tiny band of settlers whom we honor on the 400th anniversary of their arrival in America.”
Seeing this stamp brings to mind my blog post the first Thanksgiving I blogged here, in my November 26, 2015 blog post. It includes the Pilgrim Tercentenary: Signing of the Compact 1920 5c stamp.
On Receiving my FutureMe Reminder to myself for this Thanksgiving Week Ahead
In looking ahead to this week with Thanksgiving on Thursday, I was smiling receiving a FutureMe email to myself earlier this week. Reminding myself to have the Christmas decorations done the week OF Thanksgiving! Along with it, is my nudge to have the Christmas cards addressed and ready for sending out by December 1st. This particular FutureMe email I sent to myself on December 24, 2019, with it dated to reach me this past week. You may enjoy my previous blog post on FutureMe and Enjoying the slack time (December 28, 2019).
I’ll see you back here on Wednesday! In the meantime, see if your Post Office has the new stamps – or consider ordering from the USPS Postal Store online.
