On Discovering Gilbert & Sullivan 1992 Royal Mail Stamp Card Postcards

It is so much fun for me to share about discovering the 1992 Gilbert & Sullivan Royal Mail Stamp Card Postcards. Who knew when I started looking for the lyrics for “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General” from H.M.S. Pinafore I would end up searching for any kind of Gilbert & Sullivan stationery items, postcards, and/or stamps!

Finding them this week on Etsy, I have them ordered and en-route to me from England.

Over at CollectGBStamps they have a wonderful synopsis of the 1992 Commemorative Stamps for Gilbert and Sullivan. The Etsy listing I found my set at still shows more sets of them available, and the pricing is very reasonable. In addition, I do see them also coming up at Ebay when searching.

With Thanksgiving this next week, I am hoping this finds each of you well. I know of one AnchoredScraps penpal who is having surgery tomorrow and cheering you on for a speedy recovery!

Whether you find yourself traveling or hosting this week here’s to a Thankful and enjoyable Holiday giving Thanks!

And even though my schedule for the past year has been to only post each Sunday on a weekly basis – this Thursday I’ll be back sending Happy Thanksgiving 2022 greetings! Especially since Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the entire year! In the meantime, here’s to safe travels and good health!

Anchors Aweigh,

Helen
