Todays is Elvis Presley’s birthday, born on January 8, 1935, he would have been 81.

Over at Graceland.com they are now taking reservations for Elvis Birthday Celebration NEXT year, January 5-8, 2017. And CNN has an article about The King’s 81st sharing who the author believes to be among the best impersonators – 20 of the men, women, and children.
It was interesting to watch from October 2015 Priscilla Presley talk about the new Elvis album “If I Can Dream” with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. (You can click on the image of the album and it will take you to that USA Today interview.) 
It was released to commemorate Elvis’ 80th birthday in 2015.
There is also the Exclusive CD – Elvis Presley Forever CD – Previously Unreleased Songs Available Only in Post Offices that’s was announced in July 2015.
It is easy to get lost in the music of Elvis Presley and find oneself not writing but pausing to listen.
How Great Thou Art and American Trilogy were already selected by me to include today.
In reading about the new Elvis album “If I Can Dream” I have confirmed both of these songs are included in that new album of his with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Even so, I prefer these two selections and am closing out today’s blog post with them by Elvis.
