“It is no use waiting for your ship to come in unless you have sent one out.”
Author: Belgian Proverb
Today’s post is about making small investments of our time now, i.e. send a letter to someone with the idea being you get one back!
Write. Send. Receive. Repeat.
Imagine your desk being filled with incoming mail like the photo on the right. Start collecting those cards and letters you have laying around and consider actually replying or initiate a letter that is not a reply. One of the reasons I suggest this is so when you find yourself in times of looking for encouragement you will have some letters to re-open and enjoy reading again.
This quote is to help move us to action:
“Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of.” – Benjamin Franklin
You never know – it could turn out the letter YOU send to someone is their ‘Letter of Encouragement’ they’ve been hoping to receive.
Limited time offer to the email subscribers to my blog
If you find yourself wanting to pen pal please use the contact form for consideration. I’m willing to do this with the first three who reply – will need your name and a snail-mail mailing address. I will email back to confirm and then will make every effort to write you (using one of my fountain pens) within a week’s time – IF you plan on actually reciprocating! Please include that too in your contact form.
That photo with all the letters on the writing desk could be YOU! May your efforts move you one step further to Set Sail!
