Letter writing goals (2015)

Today’s blog post is a reminder to checkpoint on our 2015 goals – including those for letter writing!

If you began 2015 with some goals for the year there is still time to work on them.

Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve are each a little over 4, 8, and 9 weeks away respectively.   This coming Sunday will be November 01 and it will probably find us having eaten lots of candy (or professed we were good and did not!) with Halloween on Saturday and Daylight savings ending.

There are some dear scrapbooking friends of mine (who also happen to be email subscribers here) and they create gorgeous hand made Christmas cards each year. I will have to check with them but a lot of time those cards are already made by this time of the year, or they have been pacing themselves to make their deadlines so they have them for mailing out.  It is a true treasure to receive one of these cards.  If you walk around the crop area at a scrapbook even you will over hear invariably the comment of who to send to who will appreciate all of the work!   So in this case – it is the thought that counts!

“I’m tired of wasting letters when punctuation will do, period.”
– Steve Martin

“I’m pretty sure people are going to start writing letters again once the email fad passes.”
– Willie Geist

If you have made some letter writing goals for yourself – there is still time to write those well-intentioned letters THIS YEAR and get them into the mail.
