“Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins” & stamps is today’s Saturday blog topic.
Happy Saturday – the rain has taken a break and the sun is shining! With the full day in front of us today’s blog post finds us with Scooby-Doo! and a movie that includes a stamp-collecting principal in the plot of the 2009 movie.
I’ve had this movie, “Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins”, on my list to watch and plan to catch it this weekend especially since it made my list for a Saturday blog topic.
The movie was aired by Cartoon Network for the 40th anniversary of the Hanna-Barbera character Scooby-Doo and is 1 hour 15 minutes.
The plot shares the story of how Mystery Inc. was formed. It is a prequel of the Scooby Doo 2002 Live action Movie.
Rotten Tomatoes has a Audience score of 50% liked it and no Tomatometer score yet. Audience Reviews include “Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins has it’s cheesy moments, yet it’s surprisingly much better than the other 2 live action films…” with a three star rating and “Actually much better than I thought. Great for kids and adults. It explains the origin of everything, even Scooby snacks!” with a three and half stars. Audience reviews ratings ranged from no star to four stars from the 5 of 8 pages was able to view.
It was interesting to read on Wikipedia that “Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins is the most-watched telecast in Cartoon Network history with 6.1 million viewers on September 13, 2009.”
Here’s an opportunity to see Fred, Daphne, Velma, “Shaggy”, and Scooby-Doo today as they seek clues to solve the mystery. Perhaps this is something to consider watching as a break from binge watching of an entire series if those are your plans today. Say it with me in unison – Scooby dooby doooooooooo!
