Two Gardeners Friendship in Letters we are looking at today.  With it being National Letter Writing Month I’ve been tucking in a packet of garden seeds into some of my letters and note cards thinking of Spring and gardens.

How wonderful it is to find this 2003 book entitled “Two Gardeners: A Friendship in Letters” which I have on order.

Two Gardeners Friendship in Letters

“Two Gardeners: A Friendship in Letters” is a book between Katharine S. White and Elizabeth Lawrence.  They began writing each other when Katharine was 62, and Elizabeth 54.  Katharine White was married to E.B. White of Charlotte’s Web!

The letters span almost twenty years with more than 150 letters sent back and forth between them.  It is interesting to read in the descriptions of the book that they only met once face-to-face.

My Northern Garden

Over at My Northern Garden website there is a really nice book review on this book by someone who really gardens and it was fun to read that in the book the two of them were obsessed with garden catalogs; this gets me smiling thinking of a garden friend of mine who loves garden catalogs too!
