There are less than two weeks to send off for Letters from Santa program.
For a bit of whimsy on this weekend here is information to help a young one in your family with writing their letter to Santa and sending it off in the mail – AND GETTING A REPLY FROM SANTA !
Last December my blog post on Santa Mail & Special Holiday Postmarks was a lot of fun including sending off for Santa Mail. I’m delighted to see it back again this year.
Just two weeks ago the Postal Employees Network Postal News carried a story on USPS Letters FROM Santa Program Provides Santa’s Personalized Response to Your Child’s Letter.
“NORTH POLE — Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus — and the U.S. Postal Service can help you prove it when Santa replies to your child’s letter — complete with a North Pole postmark.”
The article gives the steps for getting a letter back from Santa. And then it shares deadline information.
‘“Letters from Santa” must be received by the Anchorage, AK, postmaster no later than Dec. 15. Santa’s helpers at the Postal Service will take care of the rest. …
The Letters from Santa program adds to the excitement of Christmas and is ideal for interesting youngsters in letter writing, stamps and penmanship.’
For the cost of your time and participation we can add meaningful letter writing memories with our family and/or friends younger generation.
Dear Santa Recollections
There is the classic story in our family of when writing our letters to Santa it went something like this from my recollections. It was suggested to instead of saying “Please send lots of Toys” to say “Please send lots of Love“. My Grandmother upon hearing of expressed sentiments we sent in our letters to Santa, ended up sending extra toys that year! At least that is how the story has grown over the years…
Have fun helping the younger ones in our lives with getting their letters off to Santa this year! And you are welcome to use the line, “Please send lots of Love”. Enjoy!”

Helen
