Welcoming Fall Letter Writing Time finds us this morning as we kick off the new week.
I’m looking at my Welcome Autumn! daily blog post from 9-23-2015, which was during my first year of blogging daily here at AnchoredScraps. Fast forward and we are greeting Autumn once more with today’s arrival of the Fall Equinox.
It means shorter days, and longer nights, with the realization it gets darker sooner until December with the winter solstice. For today, we will have about 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of it being dark. There is a really good explanation over at Vox.com The fall equinox is Monday: 9 things to know about the first day of autumn with “A brief scientific guide to the first day of fall”.
Fall Flavors Original Art Postcards
The Fall Flavors — Original Art Postcards I’m happy sharing in my post today, from the Etsy Shop Pinkslinks – Fallen Face Studio, out of Elmont, New York. Be sure to check out her beautiful work.
“… Tired of hot and sticky, I summon autumn with these hand-painted postcards of fall treats. If, by the time you see this, you are tired of pumpkin lattes you can pretend that’s a regular cup of joe.”
Welcoming Fall Letter Writing Time Autumn 2019
Yesterday’s Sunday afternoon found yours truly letter writing on a floral pink – selecting it for my stationery colors choice. It was reflecting the sentiment of using a different season as in a countdown knowing “just one more day prior to Autumn’s arrival”.
Now I’ll begin pulling out my pumpkins and seasonal colors from my paper stash of stationery and note cards.
Join me tomorrow for my Tuesday blog post. In the meantime, here’s to enjoying the seasonal change in weather, and the fun of celebrating Fall’s arrival!
Anchors Aweigh,
Helen
P.S. Today is daily blog post #1671, the trek continues to #1700!
