Later this month the Anoka Halloween Capital 100 Years book arrives. It commemorates the “Anoka Halloween 100th Anniversary: 1920-2020” in Anoka, Minnesota.
If the name of the city sounds familiar, four years ago we were looking at it because it was the site of the USPS 2016 Jack O Lanterns Forever Halloween Stamps First Day of Issue.
Please note, that while I have not seen yet any mention of a 2020 Pictorial Postmark for Anoka I’m hoping to see one in the next Postal Bulletin and will be on the lookout!
Anoka Halloween Capital 100 Years book
The book is described as “… a 160-page volume of stories, photos and information shared by the community and the Anoka County Historical Society.”
By the way, last I was reading the book is right under $50 for the hardcopy.
You will want to explore the anoka halloween website.
Have fun exploring – including stopping by their online Shop.
Check out the Anoka Halloween Stamps First Day Cover over at the Anoka Masons website
Furthermore, at the Anoka Masons website, they show the “Anoka Lodge #30 has some of the Anoka Halloween stamps FDCs available for anyone interested!”
It is hard to believe tomorrow finds us at the midpoint of October with it being the third of five Thursdays in the month. Here’s to a great rest of the week and see you back here on Sunday.
