Let’s hear it for Summer Camp Letter Writing! Finding the adorable book of “P.S. I Hate It Here!: Kids’ Letters from Camp” by Diane Falanga has me glad that the Summer has not gotten away from us without this fun letter writing topic!
Over the seven plus years of blogging here at AnchoredScraps, it has included Summer Camp Stationery printable, postcards, and several fun posts on it, even Yogi Bear! I’m thinking my blog post from July 22, 2015 with the two books by Bill Adler is still one of my favorites on the topic. I include links to it along with some other previous posts further below.
“P.S. I Hate It Here!: Kids’ Letters from Camp”
One of the things I really like about the “P.S. I Hate It Here…” book is it is available for immediate viewing in Kindle format, as well as paperback. The 2010 book is in a 5 x 7 format.
“… with crazy requests from their bunk, P.S. I Hate It Here: Kids’ Letters From Camp will delight with hilarious and heartwarming real-life letters.
… This collection of real letters written by children ages eight to sixteen to their parents about their adventures at summer camp are laugh-out-loud funny and will have readers reminiscing about their own camp days.
More than 150 letters cover all the imaginable scenarios of sleep away camp, from acing the cabin lice inspection, to rowing in the “ricotta” race, to breaking the bad news about a retainer lost in the wilderness…”
For myself, I ended up ordering the Kindle version for $1.99 and am enjoying viewing it on my computer. The scanned images of the letters are really well done. Have fun reading the whimsical collection showcasing Summer Camp Letter Writing!
Some of the previous Summer Camp Letter Writing blog posts include...
From July 22, 2015 “Letters from Camp”, “looking at two books, “Letters from Camp” by Bill Adler (1962), and “Kids’ e-mail & letters from camp” by Bill Adler, Jr. (2000).”
