On discovery book binding our snail mail letters exists: Turul Bookbindery is a delight to share!

I’m looking at the amount of cherished snail mail letters and cards – some still beautifully organized and tied with grosgrain ribbon around them and then the rest in multiple boxes; the idea of being able to consider having a subset bound and kept in a book sounds wonderful to me.  Additionally, it has me excited looking at what letters I would like to consider doing this with as a beginning project.

Since 1932, Turul Bookbindery, Inc. the family owned business has been providing bookbinding, restoration, and printing. And imagine my delight reading last year they moved to Myrtle Beach!

“After more than 50 years of bookbinding in Wharton, our company relocated to the sunny south city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.”

Listed among their Individual and Custom Bookbinding Services:

“Correspondence Compilations
It’s not uncommon for someone to keep treasured personal letters as a remembrance of someone special. Correspondence is also kept for legal or for reference purposes. Turul Bookbindery can bind a compilation book of these letters or emails to keep either as a sentimental keepsake or a handy reference book. We design and create books and journals for any special occasion!”

It is remarkable discovering there is an actual place that can bind a collection of my old snail mail letters into a book geographically local to me!

I’ll be taking a collection of my letters with me to visit with them in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, as we close out 3rd Quarter 2026 with the end of September and head into October I hope this finds you well.

Anchors Aweigh!
