“May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.”
– Irish Blessing
St Patricks Day Postcards
There is a 1990 paperback “Six Old-Time St. Patrick’s Day Cards” that has some nostalgic reproductions listed in their book description – “Nostalgic, full-color reproductions of rare early 20th-century originals depict charmingly costumed children, shamrocks, festive dancers, Blarney Castle, and more. Accompanying messages celebrate “Dear Old Ireland,” “The Wearing of the Green” and other familiar phrases.”
“When Irish eyes are smiling, sure ’tis like a morn in spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter you can hear the angels sing,
When Irish hearts are happy all the world seems bright and gay,
And when Irish eyes are smiling, sure, they steal your heart away.”
– Chauncey Olcott and George Graff, Jr. (lyrics),
Ernest R. Ball (music)
There is still time to order and get your St Patricks Day Postcards into the mail!
