Today kicks off National Letter Writing Month 2016. Welcome to April! Thank you very much for your good wishes and sharing with me yesterday reaching the Milestone of my 400th daily blog post!
Write_on Challenge to write 30 letters in 30 days
If you are looking for a formal campaign during the month, over at Write_On they have their Write_On Challenge starting today to write 30 letters in 30 days with them during National Letter Writing Month 2016. They officially began doing this in 2014.
There is a page of their Noteworthy Friends that lists the Sponsors, Participants, and Others who are helping to make it happen. There is also a donate option if one wants to help with getting 10,000 people to send 300,000 letters this month. Sponsors are Egg Press, Hello!Lucky, Sakura of America, Mohawk Paper, and Chronicle Books.
National Letter Writing Month 2016
I’m exploring my own AnchoredScraps.com 2016 enamel pin or button for us here with National Letter Writing Month 2016 and I will share more in a future blog post. For now begin your log to jot down your notes tracking your sending out a daily snail mail each day this month!
For me this month long celebration is a great opportunity to embrace old-style corresponding with friends and family!
Whether your snail mail choice of what to write your letter on is to send:
notecards, postcards, post it notes tucked onto newspaper and/or magazine clippings, cards, 3-ring notebook paper, or your favorite stationery
the fun is in sending out real mail
– taking action and actually writing and/or printing and/or typing your letter and putting it into the mailbox!
Last year included the US Postal Service having their First Day of Issue of the “From Me to You” limited edition Forever stamp, April 01, 2015. It will be fun to see if there is something new from them as part of encouraging National Letter Writing Month 2016.
Wishing you a great month ahead!
