Carol Wilson For Arts Sake Stationery & Remembering Buddy Holly

Today is a wonderful medley of using Carol Wilson For Arts Sake Stationery to write letters of appreciation to family and friends and remembering Buddy Holly.

For the past two years on this day my blog posts have been on Buddy Holly with Buddy Holly Novelty Pencils (2017); and Buddy Holly Handwritten Letter (2016).  Quoting myself from the 2016 blog post – “… February 3rd, is also referred to in Don McLean’s classic 1971 song American Pie as “the day the music died”.     It was on February 03, 1959 that singers Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson were killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa.”

Last week it was a delight to receive in the mail opening a wonderful thank you letter along with a package of Carol’s Rose Garden For Arts Sake Stationery.  The Lilacs pattern is perfect with ten in the set. It was such a thoughtful surprise. I don’t know if my friend knows how much I love this stationery and to have a box of it!

There is a 76-page Catalog online at Carol Wilson For Arts Sake –Every Day & Seasonal Catalog 2018. There is also a supplemental 2018 Catalog and more.  Have fun browsing!

It was just a few days ago, yours truly found herself in search of a special card; it was for having a group of which I belong sign and send to a dear friend who has had the flu for over ten days. At age 80 years young, her enthusiasm as a volunteer is amazing.  We were able to all sign the card and get it on its way in the mail to her; in addition, I’m personally handwriting a letter of appreciation to this friend.  If you have someone you know that comes to mind who is ALWAYS cheerful, ALWAYS giving, ALWAYS a delight to be around it is this friend. And I’ve never made the time to write her and share what she means to me until now.   See if you don’t have someone in your life like that and my suggestion is to not just think about it, act – write on it!

Remembering Buddy Holly

In listing my two previous blog posts on Buddy Holly above, it is worth noting be sure to see my 2016 post, it includes Buddy Holly singing “Everyday”, and there is Don McLean with “American Pie”.

The below I’m including from the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas today. They have had this up on their site.

In conclusion, how is your goal of writing one letter each day in February coming along for #InCoWriMo 2018? I’m now seeing I’m going to be using all of these note cards for the event! I’m off to go listen to Buddy Holly while writing more letters.
