On this Thursday morning, it is the Baseball MLB Opening Day 2019, the FineArtAmerica Old Glove Baseball Card, and in case you missed it during Spring Training – Ichiro Suzuki Retiring.
First, you want to be sure to see the standing ovation for Ichiro Suzuki last week at the Tokyo Dome in Japan with the Mariners.
He was playing his final professional game at age 45, this was just a week ago on March 21st.
Furthermore, there is a really nice article from 2016 at ThePostGame on “Best Players To Wear No. 51“ and includes a letter writing aspect with “… Ichiro sent a personal note to Johnson”.
Baseball MLB Opening Day 2019 – “Traditional Opening Day, featuring all 30 Major League Clubs, will take place on Thursday, March 28th.”
The USPS will be publishing their new Postal Bulletin later today. I’m hoping to see a Pictorial Postmark for baseball in there; if not then, at least later in the year is the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Day Station Pictorial Postmark, i.e. I’m including this link to its post from last year, 2018.
Old Glove Baseball Card
And lastly, the Old Glove Baseball Greeting Card is by Sandra Cunningham. The really unique feature of this card is when ordering it, can customize the inside message, or leave blank! I’m seeing the price of $7.61 for a single card. It is a splurge and how much fun to be writing a letter on it!
