As part of the Royal Philatelic Society London 150th, the new RPSL Headquarters Dedication is our blog post topic. There is a wonderful email from Don Sundman, Mystic Stamp Co. I was reading today. In it, he shares his excitement of anticipating attending. He will be present when Queen Elizabeth II dedicates the new society headquarters Royal Philatelic Society London. I’ll have more at the end of my post.
First, in case you not familiar, the RPSL “… is the oldest philatelic society in the world … was established in 1869 as the Philatelic Society, London.”
Secondly, there is this article Queen Elizabeth II to open new Royal Philatelic Society London headquarters, by Linn’s Staff, Nov 19, 2019, 10 AM. You may enjoy reading it.
Next, we have from Twitter about the RPSL Dedication.
“At The RPSL today, we were extremely honoured to welcome our Patron, Her Majesty The Queen, to officially open our new home in Abchurch Lane. It was a splendid day! @cityoflondon @RoyalFamily @MajestyMagazine
The Royal Family @RoyalFamily “Today @The_RPSL – The Queen met the President of the Royal Philatelic Society and senior staff inside the new premises. Her Majesty then met architects, administration staff and supporters of the society.”…
Congratulations Don Sundman Mystic Stamp Co
And lastly, there have been many blog posts here at AnchoredScraps over the years which include referencing some of the beautiful stamp options at Mystic Stamp.
I’m including the image of the invitation he included in his email.
My sincere congratulations to Don Sundman for this milestone occasion! See you tomorrow for my Wednesday blog post.
Anchors Aweigh,
Helen
