The Buddy Holly 1993 FDC First Day Cover Legends of American Music we are focusing on today. With the upcoming Myrtle Beach Stamp & Postcard Show this weekend, I’m wondering if I can perhaps find something like this one.
First, it is great seeing it available at Mystic Stamp Company.
In addition, the stamp on the FDC includes the 1993 Buddy Holly 29 cent Stamp from the Legends of American Music Series.
Furthermore, this excerpt about the Mystic First Day Cover is helpful if it is a new term for you.
“Mystic produced First Day Covers from 1992 to 2007. In 2007, Mystic bought Fleetwood and combined the two brands, continuing to produce Fleetwood covers. Fleetwood is the leading First Day Cover producer, making covers continuously since 1941. Fleetwood is the only FDC company that makes a cover for every U.S. postage stamp issued.”
I’m listing these previous blog posts of mine on Buddy Holly.
- 2016 Buddy Holly Handwritten Letter 2-03-2016 “It was on February 03, 1959 that singers Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson were killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa.” Also, it references The Buddy Holly Story (movie), Don McLean with American Pie.
- 2017 Buddy Holly Novelty Pencils 2-03-2017;
- 2018 Carol Wilson For Arts Sake Stationery & Remembering Buddy Holly 2-03-2018
Before closing, I know I have mentioned this before, getting a First Day Cover in a topic a friend of yours may have is a great inexpensive gift idea that really does make a Wow impression!
