The Date Meets Zip 60420 Pictorial Postmark is for Dwight IL. Seeing it in today’s USPS Postmarks Announcement is perfect timing given it is published every two weeks.
In preparing for writing about it, I am enjoying reading about the Dwight Historical society weekly “Letter Search Contest” they have been having leading up to the festivities today. I’m including a link over to it at the end of today’s post.
Date Meets Zip 60420 Pictorial Postmark
One of the things I like about requesting one of these pictorial postmarks is flexibility for sending addressed and ready to send, and/or cancel and return to the requester (me).
I’m including this partial excerpt.
“Customers wishing to obtain a postmark must affix stamps to any envelope or postcard of their choice, address the envelope or postcard to themselves or others, insert a card of postcard thickness in envelopes for sturdiness, and tuck in the flap. Place the envelope or postcard in a larger envelope and address it to: Pictorial Postmarks, followed by the Name of the Station, Address, City, State, ZIP+4® Code, as listed next to the postmark.
Customers can also send stamped envelopes and postcards without addresses for postmark, as long as they supply a larger envelope with adequate postage and their return address. After applying the pictorial postmark, the Postal Service returns the items (with or without addresses) under addressed protective cover.”
It is fun looking back and seeing going great lengths of time between a Date Meets Zip Pictorial Postmark. And THEN have several all occur within a short span of time. Last week we were looking at two, and now this one today. Furthermore, there is another one tomorrow!
