Hurricane Isaias Notes on this morning after without power is our blog title.
Using a borrowed smart phone to post via phone.
Hope this finds you and your family well.
Cooper did well considering the 85 mph wind amid the sounds last night of glass breaking in our enclosed back porch of the sliding screen windows, and door, roof shingles coming off, etc.
Power flickering on and off began at 11:30 PM and finally went out at 1:15 a.m. and lots of noise until 3:30 – 4am. The back porch is full of broken glass everywhere, roof shingles everywhere and have already gotten temporary relief to the roof thanks to an amazing neighbors help.
We did not get a new roof with Hurricane Florence but looks like must now.
With the power still out and no ETA, between working on beginning the clean-up of broken glass, I am looking forward to decluttering my stationery stash with the sunlight and be happy for Copper’s “help”.
We are grateful for our many blessings and know it will all get sorted out.
In the course of writing my blog now as we close in on 2000 posts, this makes the second hurricane of particular note.
Anchors Aweigh, Helen
P.S. Of all the things to “survive” on the back porch, my bird water fountain looks like it did fine!
