Welcome November 2020

We welcome November 2020! How has the day found you returning to the time change with us returning to Daylight Standard Time?

With the U.S. Presidential Elections this Tuesday I’m remembering a two-part blog post from 2017 on the Letters Shape Opinions 1980 stamp.

USPS, from Mystic Stamp, clickable image linking to #1805-10 – 1980 15c Letter Writing Stamps for National Letter Writing Week

While both of those posts were looking at First Day Covers for them, I thought putting both of the stamps together here for the blog post title card helps catch a reference point in time with the elections this Tuesday.

There is a total of six stamps in the 1980 set of Letter Writing stamps, and I was able in the Spring to purchase an entire sheet of them! I’ll have more on them at a later time.

Later this week, on Friday, November 6th, it will be Fountain Pen Day 2020. In the meantime, see you back here on Wednesday!
