It’s time for starting Sending Autumn Gratitude Notes out. Thanksgiving is six weeks from tomorrow, on November 25, 2021.
Happy Wednesday morning! In addition, I’m including donor registration information for participating in the Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy Give-Back Program. In our neighborhood, it is typical for us to have over 100 trick-or-treaters and can still end up with extra candy. Having a mission to help get the extra candy to them instead of ending up on my hips sounds good to me!
Getting Ready for Sending Autumn Gratitude Notes
Do you ever notice how much more enjoyable an event is when we are not rushed? For me, it’s ideal if I have been writing while not in a rush a few heartfelt letters of gratitude. It is especially heartwarming knowing the recipient will be delighted to receive it unexpectedly.
It really is fine to start sending out letters of gratitude and thanks now. Knowing there can be shipping and mail delays it is all the more reason to start sending earlier.
If you are wanting to do some advance ordering, the Current Year Round Address Labels, my November 16, 2018 blog post, includes the autumn leaves return address label. This is a set I find myself re-ordering almost every year as I USE them!
Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy Give-Back Program
Next, I’m seeing it was on November 19, 2019, in my blog post on Operation Gratitude Write Letters Appreciation, we were looking at their program and the guidelines and best ways for writing a letter to Troops, First Responders, and Veterans.
At their Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy Give Back Donor Registration sign-up page it will walk you through the sign-up process.
- It has a choice of one of these three: match locally to participate in direct delivery, ship candy to their processing center in Calif, or drop it off there.
- Then it has licensing and shipping agreements normal-sounding disclaimers to go through.
- Upon submitting, it then comes back with Candy Toolkit for Donors with Thank you for registering to donate excess candy through their program. It includes an individual social media kit, example flyer, Halloween candy logo, and also for groups/businesses kits too.
The tie-in with getting ready for Sending Autumn Gratitude Notes with Operation Gratitude is one I’m happy to be sharing today. As a result of writing today’s post, I am now signed up for participating and looking forward to learning more from them. It does not look like we are too late for participating in it and will mean less leftover candy to be consuming ourselves!
See you back here on Sunday! In the meantime here’s to enjoying the process.

Helen
