Imagine my delight in discovering the Typewritten Today Letters to the future project. Its deadline for submission is October 9 2022.
The intended audience, main theme is “A letter by you to the youth one hundred years from now.”
Over at The Typosphere this month is a posting about the project lead by France Pinzon, I’m including this screenshot of the top portion of the posting.
I’m calling out this deadline for our attention – especially to those of us who balance best of intentions with procrastination getting in the way! Please note the deadline is firm. She has a snail mail address for reaching her in Quebec, as well as providing the ability to upload using a google form your copy. Please note they must be typed!
Here are a few links, first, to The Typosphere article posting itself, and this one to her website with project information.
My goal is to publish a book about modern-day typewritten materials and I am inviting volunteer subjects from around the world to share their typewritten open letters (scanned or photographed), as well as talk, laugh, and cry about them with me.
In my discovering Typewritten Today Letters to the future project, I applaud her creativity in combining her love for enthusiastically using typewriter with writing letters and putting into a book, I’m envisioning it providing a time capsule lookback view.
Anchors Aweigh,
Helen
