We are looking at the New 2023 USPS Stamps Arriving January This Month, I’m seeing eight of them. For those of you wanting an enjoyable sit down and enjoy looking through all of them, go ahead and get your favorite beverage (coffee, tea, diet coke) and we will get started in a minute.
First, here is the not-TLDR (not-too long didn’t read) of New 2023 USPS Stamps Arriving January This Month
For those of you in a hurry and will circle back later to read all the details, here’s the summary. The range of stamps have the following: there is a yellow school bus for an additional ounce, a postage stamp with a Red Fox for additional postage, the new Lunar New Year is celebrating with the Year of the Rabbit, there are Kittens & Puppies with Valentine’s Love, the Florida Everglades and Great Smoky Mountains for Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express respectively, there are two designs with the Sailboats Postcard stamps, and we wrap up the month honoring the late Author Ernest J. Gaines, the 46th stamp in the Black Heritage Series. -End-
New 2023 USPS Stamps Arriving January This Month
Here we go! We begin our review with sharing later this week, on January 12, the Lunar New Year: Year of the Rabbit Stamps arrives. It is the fourth in the 12 stamps of the USPS New Year series. It begins January 22, 2023 and ends on February 9, 2024. It is sold in a sheet of 20 for $12. We can go ahead and PRE-ORDER them over at the USPS Postal Store.
I am happy seeing 2023 being a year of hope with the Year of the Rabbit for the Lunar New Year, I’m including this screenshot over to Scuttlebutt Sailing News with its article.
In addition to the Lunar New Year: Year of the Rabbit Stamps I mentioned above, we continue with the following stamps arriving this month. The images I’m showing of them are from the USPS Postal Store on line. It is nice that we can go ahead and PRE-ORDER them before their issue date.
It was just a few days ago the School Bus Stamps sku 122404 were debuting for an Additional Ounce stamp for 24 cents sold in a sheet of 20. I’m loving the yellow school bus they are using in its design!
Also debuting the same day, January 5, was the Red Fox Stamps for Additional Postage for 40 cents each, sold in pane of 20. They are also available in a coil of 3000, and coil of 10000.
With plenty of time for 2023 Valentines, the new Love 2023 stamps 580804 arrive on January 19, 2023. There are two new stamps on the sheet of 20 ($12 for the sheet) with a kitten and a puppy.
Next, we have the Florida Everglades Priority Mail Stamp sku 122304, it is celebrating the Florida Everglades. It is available in a sheet of 4 at $38.60. It arrives on January 22, 2023.
Also arriving on January 22, 2023 is the Great Smoky Mountains Priority Express Stamp sku 129204 with a sheet of 4 for $115.00.
And the third stamp arriving on January 22, 2023 is the Sailboats Postcard Stamps sku 122504. They are available in either a sheet of 20, or coil of 100. And in case you need the answer to a trivia quiz, the cost of a USPS Forever Postcard stamp now is 48 cents each. You’ll notice in the image below it has TWO designs of the Sailboats Postcard Stamps.
And we wrap up the month on January 23 with Forever stamp honoring the late author Ernest J. Gaines (1933-2019). It is 46th stamp in the Black Heritage Series. Among his accomplishments, he was the Pulitzer Prize nominee in 1971 with his novel, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. The stamp is in a sheet of 20, at 63 cents each, for $12.60.
