Welcoming 2025 Letter Writing Ahead is our kick-off blog post for the New Year!
First, my sincere thanks to long-time AnchoredScraps email blog subscriber Paul for sharing the article with me about “People who can express themselves better through writing than speaking usually have these 8 unique traits” which pairs so beautifully with the practice of letter writing. The Small Business Bonfire article written by Lachlan Brown, back on Sep. 25, 2024 is a great short read!
Second, my continued hats off to Adam Silver with his Silly Little Goals (SLG) weekly calls to action. This week is on digital CLUTTER! You can sign up here to receive his SLG weekly email.
Third, speaking of clutter, I am on what I’m calling ROUND 2 of huge decluttering. Round 1 was a year ago when we sold our home of 18 years, downsized, and relocated to South Carolina. Now with Round 2 I’m thoroughly going through now that we’ve had a year here and getting rid of more things. In an upcoming post I will be sharing more about the journey. The BEST advice I received earlier this week from my professional organizer Melissa (who I’ve been working with over 12 years !) was: for my office which had a LOT of clutter – to focus on tackling all the piles ON THE FLOOR first – talk about great advice! And I love hearing Ellen’s description of calling those items on the floor can be one person’s method of “horizontal filing”! And thanks to Tally, Vicki, and Brian for cheering me on with texts showing progress photos!
So back to the title for this blog post – Welcoming 2025 Letter Writing Ahead! This month my goal is to write 10 letters in January.
Anyone else want to take this on with me?
Lastly, I’m so happy to be finally feeling better getting over the “cruise crud” which we picked up on the last day of the 14 day cruise we took in December.
Please join me back here next February 10th – as this year in 2025, I will be posting on the 10th of each month – as February 26, 2025 will be 10 YEARS blogging here at AnchoredScraps! I’m even going to have a “genuine souvenir” postcard I’ll be sharing!
