There are several USPS Forever stamps withdrawing from Regular Sale effective June 30, 2019; among them Dorothy Height, Henry David Thoreau, Lena Horne, and the Patriotic Spiral Booklet. I’m including below a partial list and link to the full article in yesterday’s Postal Bulletin.
With us heading into the Memorial Day Weekend, I’m mindful of this excerpt from my AnchoredScraps Veterans Day – November 11, 2015 blog post.
“Veterans Day is often confused with Memorial Day (the fourth Monday in May), which honors American service members who died in service to their country or as a result of injuries incurred during battle. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans, living or dead. We would like to add our appreciation for all living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime.”
Furthermore, I’m including Serving without the camera during WWII, (May 24, 2015). In reading my post I’m realizing it’s been four years ago today since I was writing it, and it was my first Memorial Day without Dad.

The below table excerpt is from USPS Postal Bulletin 22520, 5-23-2019. In addition, there are a lot of philatelic ceremony programs, First-Day Covers, Digital Color Postmarks, and Mementos for various stamps. It is very lengthy!
Join me tomorrow for my Saturday blog post.
