The Linn’s article today on Stamps.com challenging the USPS wanting to end their Customized Postage Program is catching my attention.
The ability for ordering custom PhotoStamps is one of the things really fun marking milestones, i.e. when we were celebrating the AnchoredScraps 1000 and 1500 daily blog post milestones.
Linn’s Stamp News Article on Stamps.com is Challenging Customized Postage Program with USPS Ending June 16th
“Stamps.com has challenged the United States Postal Service’s decision to end the company’s customized postage program, arguing the decision should be delayed for two years to give incoming Postmaster General Louis DeJoy a chance to review the issue.
In a proceeding before the Postal Regulatory Commission, the California company stated, “We believe it is in the interest of all parties — and the general public — for the program to continue.”
The company, which is the only maker of the personalized stamplike indicia in the United States, disclosed the Postal Service’s intention to eliminate the program in a recent financial report. The USPS ordered Stamps.com to end its production of customized postage effective June 16…”

Also, I’m going ahead now and ordering other milestone custom photo stamps now and not wait until June for ordering. Subsequently, if you have been considering ordering a PhotoStamp, now it may be a good time to begin the ordering process.
And finally, writing today’s blog is having me wondering if I can order now for a future milestone. On August 17, 2020, we will be celebrating the #2000 milestone in 2020!
