We are Revisiting Helen’s Typewriter Collection today – now beautifully on display on their each own individual floating shelves!
It is still the same collection of the seven I had back on June 18, 2020 which were in my previous blog post about them. At that time they were on display in a teak bookcase with glass doors on them. I am still in search of a cursive manual typewriter!
The “genuine souvenir postcards” went out last month celebrating AnchoredScraps 10 Year Blog Anniversary
Featured on my “genuine souvenir postcard” I sent out last month is the Remington Rand Model 5. It is the same typewriter image beautifully captured by professional photographer Brian Quinby which is on my landing page and in the banner and footer.
On those postcards they were all mailed with hand cancels on the actual anniversary day February 26, 2025 at the Murrels Inlet Post Office in South Carolina.
Thank you to everyone for your congratulations on the milestone last month of the actual 10 year blog anniversary for AnchoredScraps. I have another batch of these postcards I’ll be sending out in March given I have received new snail mail blog subscribers! Thank you!!
Recap in Photos - process from envisioning placement to installed!
In January I began seriously decluttering my office. During that time, while on zoom with Brian we thought how much fun it would in the future to see the typewriters on the wall and visible behind me when on zoom calls. Thanks Brian!
Next, my thanks to Karen and Melissa for their help in determining placement for the seven floating shelves. With lots of measuring it was determined 13.5″ x 13.5″ for each floating shelf to be perfect for all seven of my manual typewriters.
Urbandi is an amazing company I discovered for ordering my custom maple floating shelves. Note – there is no paid compensation here, I’m just really happy to share about them!). They are a delight to work with and very responsive!

Valentine’s Installation!
And then on February 14th, they were professionally installed by a very talented local carpenter, a great Valentine’s present from Brad!
