Seventy-Five

75.

This is the number that jumped out at me when reading about This day in history, October 17, 2015.    “There are 75 days left in the year.”   Today marks the 290th day of 2015.      Thanksgiving is less than six weeks away!

Today we are celebrating “75” as our theme!

With it being Saturday and I usually think Saturday morning cartoons so starting off with this one:

Batman celebrated 75 Years (in 2014)

In 2014 The U.S. Postal Service:  “Batman Honored by U.S. Postal Service to Celebrate 75 Years of the Timeless Super Hero

The First Day of Issue for the Batman Forever stamps was October 9, 2014 and they are still available for purchase!  There are eight limited edition Forever stamps.  “The background illustration features a silhouette of Batman standing on a bridge with the skyline of Gotham City looming above him.   The flip side of the sheet features two illustrations of Batman and text about the history of the character.”

Still on the Saturday morning cartoons so very happy to come across this one:

Superman celebrated 75 years (in 2013)

“The Postal Service issued the 39-cent DC Comics Super Heroes commemorative stamps in 20 designs in a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) pane of twenty stamps, on July 20, 2006” – including the 39Cent Superman.

And there is this of old classic movies with the theme of “75” – as in celebrating their 75th Anniversary this year I came across today:

And lastly I wanted to close with this book which I came across and have ordered a copy of it:

“75 Masterpieces Every Christian Should Know” (2015 Book)

There is a hardcover book coming out November 3, 2015 “75 Masterpieces Every Christian Should Know: The Fascinating Stories behind Great Works of Art, Literature, Music, and Film” by Terry Glaspey.

“Discover the absorbing true stories behind 75 masterpieces and the artists who created them.
